The ITS Private Cloud sustained a partial storage infrastructure service interruption between 8:43 AM and 8:51 AM on Thursday, January 9, 2025. As a result, Virtual Machines (VMs) that were served by the affected storage were unable to read or write data to virtual disks during this period. The interruption has been resolved, and service to all VMs has been restored. However, while some operating systems can handle temporary storage unavailability, not all can. Therefore, we ask that all system administrators review the operational status of their respective VMs.
If you encounter any issues please check the KB article Virtual Machines (VMs) behaving abnormally after Storage Incident (https://eis-vss.atlassian.net/l/cp/uB5oRRyC), or ask our AI powered assistant at https://utor.cloud/y or contact the JOG for further review.
